Q: The SPAA05 internal battery is discharged within 10 minutes, It has been charging all night and my charger shows a green lamp.
A: After a 4 hr charge the SPAA05-NEX must run for at least 6-8 hrs, The Internal battery can be charged at least 200 times, Please check if your Charger is working properly, you can press the yellow button for 3 seconds to recalibrate the battery.

Q: the grounding strap on my UMTS/SPAA-05 NEX;A was broken off i need to see how to reattach it but i can't find any pictures and i can't download any manuals for this unit.
A: The grounding strap is a piece of braiding that you can connect with a seperate grounding wire to the pole or grounding bar, while measuring on live antennas. It is supposed to hang loose. Manuals will be available soon.

Q: AFTER SETTING UP THE SPAA UNIT: 1) POWERING UP THE ANTENNA 2) TURNING ON THE PDA UNIT THE PDA UNIT DISPLAYS ERROR MESSAGE WHEN THE APPLICATION IS ACTIVATED: " AN ERROR OCCURED WHEN CHECKING THE LICENSE INFORMATION." HOW DO WE FIX THIS? DO WE HAVE TO REINSTALL SOFTWARE? PLEASE PROVIDE MORE INFORMATION.
A: You probably have reinstalled the software on you PDA, and a wrong license file was created, please delete the license file in :my device/program files/umts/Spaa05 PDA and run the software, you will end up in the license activation screen where you can enter your correct license details.

Q: I was not given any instruction on how to use this equipment, once it is attached to the antenna it reads "xxx.x". How do i get it to give me an azmuth reading? There do not seem to be any "test" or "start" buttons.
A: Hi Tommy, when the RDS unit shows XXX.X it means that the SPAA05 has not yet enough good satellites in use and cannot calculate the compass bearing, you must wait until you have more than 5 sats, please arrange that the SPAA05 tool is at the top of the cell antenna and that the view to the sky is unblocked.

Q: The tool has been charging for more than 15 hours since yesterday morning, and I still dont have a green light. What does it take to recharge it?
A: Hi, charging normally takes approx. 6 hrs from empty to complete full, please try to use the unit and check how long your charge lasts, should be between 6 to 8 hrs of continues usage.

Q: Does the SPAA tool withhold fowl weather?
A: Hi Mike, you can use the SPAA05-NEX tool in rain and shine, and temperature range although it is not underwater proof it complies with IP66, of course you should not store the SPAA05-NEX wet.

Q: We found the specifications of your products and are interested to know more information regarding it. Our main concern is to adjust the Antenna tilt and not on Antenna azimuth. It is found that the Antenna tilt is available as a add-on component. Are there stand-alone systems available ? Thank you,
A: Yes we have a stand alone tiltsensor available, which can connect tot the RAMIS-TILT software.

Q: What is the purpose of the braided wire that is connected to the telescoping antenna right below the first element and is it replaceable? I am not referring to the shielded i/o cable.
A: The Braided wire on our 2008 models was there to provide an additional grounding to the Tower structure in case you experience interference form Life antenna's , in our 2009 version this wire is no longer available as we are filtering inside .
