Information
The SPAA05 range of GPS based Antenna Alignment Tools is specially designed to improve the nominal antenna Bearing (azimuth) of GSM, DCS and UMTS Mobile cellular networks.

Two version are available at this time. The standard SPAA05 and the -all new- SPAA05-NEX Both systems feature -easy to use- antenna mounting and back-office software solutions.

Main Functions.
The SPAA05 and SPAA05-NEX models measures, in real time, the exact antenna bearing within 2 minutes after switching on the system. When using the full software -100 count- an accuracy of 0,5 degrees RMS can be achieved.
At this moment a number of networks operators have not specified their needs for such very high accuracy yet, however, comparison with existing antennas on many sites show clearly that most installation companies cannot achieve the current requirements of ± 3° or ± 5° with conventional methods like Magnetic Compass or Triangulation Measurements.
For that reason most European Network operators have made the use of our SPAA05 tools as their standard.

How to Use it.
A simple 5 step procedure on site will measure and store the individual antenna Bearing and other important site information. Our file encryption process secures the measurement results incl. Time, date and position stamping. Back-office processing takes only a few minutes per site.

Step 1.
Access Roof or tower and select the correct antenna.
Step 2.
Attach the antenna clamp and switch on the SPAA05.
Step 3.
Take a measurement, adjust the antenna and store the data Sector by sector.

Step 4.
Send the test results to your office.
Step 5.
Print the test results and forward to you customer.
